The Huawei P20 has a 5.8 inch LTPS IPS LCD display which is good and you can see good color reproduction on the screen and the blacks look good. The sunlight brightness is good with the brightness turned to full and one can easily see the display. The notch design in the display is a good addition and houses the front camera, sensors and notification LED.
The camera setup on the Huawei P20 is a dual camera at the rear and a single selfie camera in the front. The dual cameras in the rear have a 12 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.8 and 20 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.6 with a monochrome setting. The Huawei 2x lossless zoom helps in taking some close-up shots and you can get nice portraits. The dual-tone LED flash and other multiple sensors help in getting that depth in the image. The front camera is a 24MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0 and does not have autofocus support and you need to manually focus it to take selfies. The night pictures on the device are very good and you will have a processing time of up to 5 seconds to see the final shot.
The Huawei P20 has a Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset with Octa-core (4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processors and a Mali-G72 MP12 graphics chipset for the performance of this device. The chipset is about six months old but can work well while running multiple apps and the heating is manageable even with heavy games. There is almost no lag and you find it getting slow over time. The assorted apps on the device are an annoyance and you can only disable them and not uninstall them.
The battery life on the Huawei P20 is decent and you get battery support for a full day and a half on average usage and for a full day with heavy usage. The battery capacity is about 3400mAh and you get the fast charging functionality to charge the device super quick, from 0 to 60% in 30 minutes with the 22.5W charger.
The Huawei P20 is available in Twilight, Black, Midnight Blue and Pink Gold color variants.

The Huawei P20 is a device that can be a good alternative to the flagship device Huawei P20 Pro. This device has a different build and specifications and can be called a good mid range phone.
The cameras offer good quality pictures with the dual camera setup in the rear and the front camera setup in the notch in the front. The front camera lacks the autofocus function which is a big factor in selfies.
The performance of the device is decent and you can run heavy apps and games easily without experiencing any lag or frame drops.
The battery on the device lasts for a full day and a half and you get the fast charger out of the box to recharge it with 60% juice in less than 30 minutes.
