iVooMi Z1
iVooMi Z1
iVooMi has launched an appealing smartphone in the entry level price segment for budget phones. The iVooMi Z1 was launched for a price of Rupees 6999 and offers a no. of interesting features in the budget device.
The iVooMi Z1 has a 5.67 inches IPS LCD display with a notch design on top and some bezels at the top and bottom. The screen offers a resolution of 720 x 1498 pixels with a screen pixel density of 293 ppi. The sunlight viewing on the device gets a bit dull and the viewing angles are decent as it is an IPS display. In the indoors the display works well and the color reproduction is good although the brightness is a bit dull compared to other brands.
The iVooMi Z1 is running on a MediaTek MT6739 with a Quad-Core Cortex A53 chipset that clocks at 1.3GHz and a PowerVR GE8100 graphics chipset for your heavy apps and games. The device has a 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Although one might find the storage and the RAM on the device a bit less as compared to other devices, you can expand it using a MicroSD card up to 128GB.
Cameras on the iVooMi Z1 are a 13MP snapper in the rear and a 8MP shooter in the front. The pictures produced by the rear camera are quite good when taken in good daylight conditions. Once you switch to the low light aspect, the pictures show some noise and lack of details. The camera at the front is good for social media updates but using the bokeh mode is not recommended as it does not always produce even blurring. The videos lack image stabilization and the videos are jittery if you are moving or walking.
The battery on the iVooMi Z1 is a removable 2800 mAh Lithium-Polymer and takes about two and a half hours to fully charge from 0 to 100. The back of the device does get warm while charging and it does not last the full day due to its big display. You will need to charge it twice daily to keep it juiced up.
The iVooMi Z1 runs on the custom skin SmartMe OS 3.0 overlayed on the Android 8.1 Oreo and it needs a little work and improvement. There are some apps which come pre-installed on the device and take up space which already less to begin with.
The iVooMi Z1 comes in three color variants of Classic Black, Platinum Gold and Ocean Blue.

PROS –
CONS –
-
Average low light camera performance
-
Only 2GB RAM
-
Lags during multiple apps
-
The SmartMe OS 3.0 is not that great and need improvement.
-
The third party apps cannot be removed and take up unnecessary space.
The Ultimate Review
The iVooMi Z1 is a decent device for the price and has many good features but there are some shortcomings on the device that make it obsolete in just 6 months.
The cameras perform okay and the effects by the software AI are not great. The pictures loose clarity in low light conditions.
The battery on the device is below par and you need to charge it twice daily. The fingerprint and the face unlock work well and the sound is okay.
If you want a notch design in your device for the price then iVooMi Z1 is the one to buy, otherwise pass on this one.
