Oppo A3s
Oppo A3s
Oppo has started to create a lot of new price segments in the Indian mobile phone market and has launched many devices for the Indian consumer which are affordable and have good specifications. Oppo has launched the Oppo A3s for the entry level budget smartphones for the price of Rupees 8990 and Rupees 10990 for the 2GB/16GB variant and 3GB/32GB variant respectively.
The display on the device is a 6.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive multi-touchscreen display sporting a notch design at the top. The notch design at this price range is a good offering from Oppo for its consumers and they flaunt it as its USP. The screen resolution is about 720 x 1520 and has a 271 PPI pixel density which allows you to have a good viewing experience. The colors on the screen look washed out and don’t pop out as much as you want. The video playback is a bit pixelated and sharp picture quality is missing.
The Oppo A3s is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and an Adreno 506 graphics chipset. The phone sports a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage. You can expand the internal storage by using a microSD card upto 256GB. There is a dedicated slot for it. The Color Os 5.1 is a little sluggish when paired with the current specifications on the device and leaves one wanting a bit more power from their device. Although the device is cheaper in its price, it still fails to leave a mark on the consumer as most of the apps loose frames and turn laggy and slow.
The camera pictures from the Oppo A3s are not up to par as the company claims itself to be the ‘Selfie Expert’. The front camera is a 8 MP shooter and takes average pictures and the colors are not that accurate or natural. The cameras at the rear have the 13MP and 2MP (depth sensor) shooter at the back and the pictures taken by them are either overexposed or undersaturated, which makes the picture quality inconsistent and the experience of clicking pictures unpleasant.
The battery on the Oppo A3s is a 4230mAh lithium-polymer battery which lasts for a day and a half on moderate usage and a day on heavy usage. The battery takes up to 3 hours to charge and the lack of a fast charger is sorely felt.
The Oppo A3s comes in Red and Dark Purple color variants.

The Ultimate Review
The Oppo A3s is a decently priced smartphone with average specifications but the overall performance of the device is lacking and makes one feel frustrated as it lags and slows down with multiple apps open in the background.
The camera pictures are not consistent and suffer from overexposure and undersaturation of colors. The pictures show loss of detail and you can clearly see the pixels and noise in the low light pictures.
The OS is not something to die for as it can be better optimized for the device.the battery on the device is the one redeeming factor for the device but it takes almost three hours to charge due to lack of a fast charger.
If you want to spend your money on the looks of the device then go for it, otherwise there are many other good options available in the market.
