The display on the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is an IPS LCD 6.26 inch screen with a notch design at the top which houses the front flash, notification LED and the usual sensors. The screen resolution is 1080 x 2280 pixels and the pixel density is 403 ppi. The color reproduction of the device is a little on the bright side and you might want to switch it down to standard in the color calibration setting.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite runs on the Android v8.1 Oreo OS and has the MIUI 10 as the skin overlay. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset is teamed up with Octa-core processors and the Adreno 512 graphic chipset for its smooth operating OS. You won’t find any lag with the 4GB RAM on the device and the 64 GB of storage is more than enough for your apps.
The cameras on the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite are dual cameras at the rear and a single selfie camera in the front. The Rear dual cameras are a 12 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.9 and a 5 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0. The dual cameras take great pictures in good daylight conditions with sharp details and natural color reproduction. The images have good contrast and shadows. The low light performance dips a little and there is some of loss of detail and you can make out the pixels when you zoom in. The selfie camera has good edge detection in the bokeh mode and the portraits come out good with the natural color correction mode using the camera AI.
The battery on the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is around 3350mAh and lasts for a full day on a single charge. The device offers fast charging functionality and takes about 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 40%. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge with a normal charger and about 1 and half hour with a fast charger. The device has good battery optimization as it has the snapdragon 660 chipset and you will be able easily stretch the battery for a full day.

The cameras take good snaps and the portraits look good enough for all your social media accounts and sharing with friends. The device has some issues in low light but that's manageable.
The qualcomm snapdragon 660 chipset and the octa-core processor is fully optimized to deliver the best performance with the MIUI 10 OS.
