The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is is one such device that is made for the entry level market. The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is available in two variants of 3 GB and 4 GB which cost around Rupees 8000-10000
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 has a IPS LCD display which is about 5.99 inches in size and has a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 269 ppi. The color reproduction of the screen is good but the ppi is a bit lacking so you might find some pixelated images. The outdoor display in the sunlight is a bit lacking but turning up the brightness helps.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processors and Adreno 506 graphics chipset. The device comes with a 3/4 GB RAM variant and 32/64 GB of internal storage. The device comes with Android v8.1 Oreo which can now be upgraded to Android v9.0 Pie. The skin overlaid is the MIUI 10. Its handling is smooth and the hardware is well optimized with the software. Even in the 3GB RAM variant one can easily run heavy duty games like PUBG and Asphalt 9.
The cameras on the Xiaomi Redmi S2 are decent. The images are nice and you get good color and details. The back has dual cameras which is a 12 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.2 and a 5 MP lens with a depth sensor for those portrait modes with bokeh effects. The front camera is a 16 MP lens. The images from the front camera are also good and you can take some good selfies.
The battery on the Xiaomi Redmi S2 is 3080mAh lithium-polymer battery and it will easily last you for a full day with average usage. The device can be charged with the inbox fast charger and it can easily be charged to full in 2 hours from 0 to 100.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is available in Gray, Gold, Rose Gold, Mesmerising Blue and Stunning Black color variants.

CONS –
The Ultimate Review
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is a good device for the price but not good enough. It is better than the competition so you will get good value for your money.
The cameras take decent quality images for the price point of the device and you get better images than most phones. The selfies are good and there is the bokeh mode which is not that great in the front camera but works.
You get a 10 watt charger out of the box and there is a 3080mAh battery that lasts you for almost a day and a half which is decent.
The display is good in normal lighting conditions but suffers in sunlight which is easily fixable by amping up the brightness to full.
The phone is aptly priced in the entry level range or one can say it is a good value for money deal but you can’t complain if you don’t get everything.
