Honor, sub-brand of Huawei, launched the entry level smartphone named the Honor 7S for a price of Rupees 8999. It is a decently priced smartphone and has good specifications to go with the price.
The display on the Honor 7S is a 5.45 inches IPS LCD display and has a 720 x 1440 resolution. The viewing angles on the screen are bearable and the sunlight visibility is okay with the brightness fully turned to max. The phone has a face unlock feature and it is not that great at recognizing your face and takes around 2-3 seconds to unlock the device.
The Honor 7S has the Mediatek MT6739 chipset and Quad-core processors that clock 1.5Ghz and PowerVR GE8100 graphics chipset. The Android OS on the device is Android v8.0 Oreo and has the EMUI 8 skin overlayed on top. The customisations done on the Honor 7S UI are decent but there is some apps that you might not want.
The 2 GB RAM is just okay to keep the phone from lagging and the 16GB internal storage is not enough for all the apps you might want to install. For that, you can use the expandable MicroSD slot that supports up to 256 GB.
The cameras on the Honor 7S are 13MP in the real and a 5MP in the front. Both the cameras take average pictures and you find them usable for social media, but the selfie pictures on the device are a little dull. Low light performance of the cameras is okay and the night pictures contain noise and there is some loss of detail.
The battery on the Honor 7S is 3020mAh lithium-polymer non-removable battery and can power up the device for a full day on average usage. It does not support fast charging and need around 2-3 hours to fully charge.
The Honor 7S comes in three color variants of Black, Gold and Blue.

PROS –
5.45 inch display.
Average screen to body ratio that is, approximately 73.8%.
295 ppi pixel density.
Good neat design
Camera Pictures are okay.
3020mAh battery
CONS –
Average low light camera performance
The device heats up when running heavy apps.
Lags during multiple apps
Camera app hangs and crashes a lot
The UI EMUI 8.0 is not that great.
No Fingerprint Sensor
Honor 7S is a good entry level device but the specifications are not that great to stop it from lagging when running heavy apps and games.
The device heats up a little when running heavy apps and the camera performance is okay and the pictures are decent. The battery life is just around a day and you need to recharge it everyday.
The hardware and software make the lifespan of this device to be around a year before it starts to feel unresponsive and laggy.
Buy it only if you are new to smartphones and Honor 7S fits your budget.
