Honor is a brand that was started by Huawei to target its online customers and give them a brand that has multiple facets to the differently priced smartphones in the industry. Honor makes some of the most cost effective devices for its consumers and is able to maintain quality at the same time. The Honor Magic 2 3D is one such smartphone device that is aptly priced in the high price range segment for the specifications it offers. The Honor Magic 2 3D is priced at around Rupees 40000 for its 6 GB variant and around 42000 for its 8 GB variant.
The Honor Magic 2 3D has a 6.39 inches of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and has a screen resolution of about 1080 x 2340 pixels with a pixel density of 403 ppi. The screen size is bigger then most devices on the Honor Magic 2 3D. There is no notch design at the top with the front camera protruding up when you slide the screen to use the front cameras. The device also has the fingerprint sensor under the display of the device in the front and it works well. The color reproduction is crisp and natural and there is good distinction between blacks and whites. The sunlight viewing angles are good and turning up the brightness helps in reading the display easily.
The cameras on the Honor devices are improving as they bring out new smartphones in the market. The Honor Magic 2 3D has triple cameras in the rear, a 16 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.8, a second 16 MP with an aperture size of f/2.2 and a third camera with a 24 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.8. The front also has three cameras that pop-up when you slide the screen. There is a 16 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0, a Manual pop-up 3D TOF camera and a 2 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.4 and with depth sensors. Pictures snapped from these cameras are good and you can see good detail in them. The selfie shots from the Honor Magic 2 3D are good and you can easily share them on any social media platforms. The three cameras at the front and the back surely make a good conversation starter when some sees the device.
The Honor Magic 2 3D is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with Octa-core (2x2.6 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2x1.92 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processors and Mali-G76 MP10 graphics chipset. The device runs on the EMUI 9 skin overlaid on top of the Android v9.0 Pie. The device has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage with 8 GB RAM and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage without any place for an expansion slot for a MicroSD card.
The Honor Magic 2 3D has a 3500 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and there is a 40W fast charger in the box. The device is able to sustain for a day and a half before running out of juice with average usage. It goes from 0-100 in about 1 hour with reaching 50% in 15 minutes and 85% in 30 minutes.
The Honor Magic 2 3D comes in Gradient Black, Gradient Red and Gradient Blue color variants.
