Honor is a brand that was started by Huawei to target its online customers and give them a brand that has multiple facets to the differently priced smartphones in the industry. Honor makes some of the most cost effective devices for its consumers and is able to maintain quality at the same time. The Honor Play 8A is priced at around Rupees 7000 in the entry level price range.
The Honor Play 8A has a 6.09 inches of LCD capacitive touchscreen and has a screen resolution of about 720 x 1560 pixels with a pixel density of 282 ppi. The colour reproduction is crisp and natural and there is good distinction between blacks and whites. The sunlight viewing angles are good and turning up the brightness helps in reading the display easily.
The cameras on the Honor devices are improving as they bring out new smartphones in the market. The Honor Play 8A has a single camera in the rear, a 13 MP lens with an aperture size of f/1.8. The front camera is a 8 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0. Pictures snapped from these cameras are good and you can see good detail in them. The selfie shots from the Honor Play 8A are good and you can easily share them on any social media platforms to your friends and followers. The notch design is where the front camera is situated and looks good on a device which is just in the entry level price range.
The Honor Play 8A is powered by Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) chipset with Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processors and PowerVR GE8320 graphics chipset. The device runs on the EMUI 9 skin overlaid on top of the Android v9.0 Pie. The device has 3 GB RAM with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage with the ability to expand the memory up to 1 TB using a MicroSD card slot.
The Honor Play 8A has a 3020mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and there is only a normal charger in the box. The device is able to sustain for a day and a half before running out of juice with average usage. It goes from 0-100 in about 2-3 hours.
The Honor Play 8A comes in Black, Blue, Gold and Red color variants.

The Honor Play 8A is a good device that has some of the best features and specifications for the entry price range segment.
The cameras take good quality images. The colour reproduction is natural and crisp. The dual cameras take good images and you can see much detail and blacks in them.
The device has a 3020mAh battery that lasts you for almost a day which is good and the device charges to full in almost 3 hours with the normal charger shipped in the box.
The device is suitably priced in the entry price range and is a premium built device from Honor but it is a bit expensive and there are better phones on offer in the market.
