Huawei has been trying to get recognized in the league of Apple and Google as its own brand worldwide. To further this goal Huawei has launched the Huawei Mate 20 Pro as its flagship phone in November 2018 for a price of 69999 Rupees. It is on the higher end of the price range than most of the devices that are sold in the market today but considering the features and specifications the phone does have something good to offer to the user for the price it quotes.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a 6.39 inches AMOLED curved display design and has a compact form factor. The device feels sturdy in your hands and there are front and back corning gorilla glass protection. The viewing angels and the color reproduction is sharp and beautiful. You find yourself immersed in the display as it has a 2k image resolution with a 538 ppi pixel density.
The cameras on the device are one of the main attracting features apart from the on-display fingerprint sensor and the 40watt fast charger that comes bundled in the box. The phone has three cameras at the rear with a 40MP wide angle lens, a 20MP ultra wide angle lens and a 8MP telephoto lens. There are many options in the AI camera modes and the HDR shows some good contrast between blacks and whites. The front camera on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a 24MP shooter and can take great selfies with the bokeh mode. The pictures taken by the rear cameras are impressive and you find great details when you zoom in. If you click pictures with a passion then you won’t be disappointed. The night pictures are full of color as well due to the camera taking multiple shots and them blending them together to create a perfect picture within seconds.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with Octa-core (2x2.6 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2x1.92 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processors and a Mali-G76 MP10 graphics chipset. The hardware works well with the 6 and 8 GB variants and you won’t find any problems when running multiple apps or playing heavy games like PUBG or Asphalt. You can use the highest available settings and there is almost no lag or frame drops.
The battery on this smartphone is a massive 4200mAh li-po battery and can last for 2 days on average usage and almost one day on heavy usage. With the fast charging option it can go from 0 to 100 in a little more than an hour. The device also supports wireless charging and can perform reverse charge as well with compatible devices. One thing you will find missing on the device is the 3.5 mm jack and Huawei has provided a USB Type C to 3.5mm connector to correct this flaw.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available in Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Twilight, Pink Gold and Black color variants.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an impressive device that has a myriad of features to flaunt. It is a tad on the expensive side but if you are looking for a flagship device with some amazing features apart from Samsung and Apple then consider Huawei.
The cameras take some of the best pictures and the night time photography is better than most phones in the market today. The selfies are great and there is good edge detection in the bokeh mode.
You get a 40 watt fast charger out of the box and there is a 4200mAh battery that lasts you for two days on average usage.
The display is sharp and color production is sharp and crisp. The on-screen fingerprint sensor is cool and performs well. Most of the sensors are in the notch that support face unlock.
The phone is high priced and can take almost 70000 Rupees out of your pocket but it is worth it if you want these features.
