Lenovo is mostly known for making good laptops which are famous for their unique design preferences. Lenovo has also been making mobile phones that are able to show the same design elements that are a trademark of their laptops. The Lenovo K5 is a mobile device that is in the mid price range segment and is priced at around 10000 Rupees.
The Lenovo K5 has a 5.7 inches of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that has a screen resolution of about 720 x 1440 pixels with a pixel density of 282 ppi. The colour reproduction is good but the pixel density is just able to keep up with the size of the display to not let the images pixelate. The sunlight reading is dim with the brightness turned down but can be easily fixed by turning the brightness up to full.
The cameras on the Lenovo devices are well optimized and take some good pictures. The Lenovo K5 has a dual camera setup in the rear with a 13 MP lens that has an aperture size of f/2.0 and a second camera with a 5 MP lens and an aperture size of f/2.2 and a depth sensor. The front camera is a 8 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0. The cameras take decent pictures in normal daylight conditions and suffer from some noise in artificial lighting conditions. The low light pictures are just okay and can be better if worked on with the hardware.
The Lenovo K5 is powered by Mediatek MT6750V/CB chipset with Octa-core (4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) processors and Mali-T860MP2 graphics chipset. The device runs on the Android v7.1 Nougat and is optimized to work properly with the hardware. It is overlaid with the ZUI Lite 3.1 skin which has some bloatware. The device has 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and a slot for a MicroSD card which supports up to 128GB.
The Lenovo K5 has a 3000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and it is shipped with a normal charger. The device is able to sustain for a day and a half before running out of juice with average usage. It goes from 0-100 in about 3 hours.
The Lenovo K5 comes in Black, Gray and Blue color variants.

PROS –
5.7 inch IPS LCD display.
Average screen to body ratio that is approximately 75.0%.
282 ppi pixel density.
Good Neat design
Camera Pictures are okay.
3000mAh battery.
CONS –
Low light camera pictures have noise in them and lack detail.
Battery capacity is less.
The hardware could have been better.
The Lenovo K5 is a good device but is expensive for the features it offers. Most other phones are available at the entry level segment and offer better specifications.
The cameras take decent quality images. The colour reproduction is natural and crisp in normal lighting conditions, but the pictures suffer from noise in low light conditions and lack of detail can be seen.
The device has a 3000mAh battery that lasts you for almost a day and a half which is good but the device takes about 3 hours to fully charge.
The Lenovo K5 is a device that is decently priced for the features it offers to the consumers and can be a decent investment for your money.
