LG K8 (2018)

LG K8 (2018)

LG has recently seen a decline in its popularity in the smartphone market and the devices it has launched have not been able to make an impact in the minds of the users. The LG K8 (2018) is a device that is in the mid price range segment and is priced at around 15000 Rupees.

The LG K8 (2018) has a 5.3 inches of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that has a screen resolution of about 720 x 1280 pixels with a pixel density of 277 ppi. The colour reproduction is good but the pixel density is a bit less and you can see that there are some areas where one can see some pixels. The sunlight reading suffers with the brightness turned down but can be easily fixed by turning the brightness up.

The cameras on the LG devices are not much to talk about but they get the job done . The LG K8 (2018) has a single camera in the rear, a 13 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.2. The front camera is a 5 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.4. The cameras take decent pictures in normal daylight conditions and suffer from noise in artificial lighting conditions. The low light pictures are not great and there is much that needs to be worked on by LG.

The LG K8 (2018) is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset with Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processors and Adreno 308 graphics chipset. The device runs on the Android v7.0 Nougat and is optimized to work properly with the hardware. The device has 2GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and a slot for a MicroSD card which supports up to 512GB.

The LG K8 (2018) has a 3000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and it is shipped with a normal charger. The device is able to sustain for a day before running out of juice with average usage. It goes from 0-100 in about 2 hours.

The LG K8 (2018) comes in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Terra Gold color variants.

The Ultimate Review

The LG K8 (2018) is a good device but is expensive for the features it offers. Most other phones are available at the entry level segment and offer better specifications.

The cameras take decent quality images. The colour reproduction is natural and crisp in normal lighting conditions, but the pictures suffer from noise in low light conditions and lack of detail can be seen.

The device has a 2500mAh battery that lasts you for almost a day which is good but the device takes about 2 hours to fully charge.

The LG K8 (2018) is a device that is a little overpriced for the features it offers to the consumers but if you are willing to go for LG products then buy this device.
