Motorola E5 Play Go

Motorola E5 Play Go

Motorola has been steadily launching devices that are able to match up to the other companies and their devices. The new Motorola E5 Play Go is one such new generation device which conforms to the market demands. The Motorola E5 Play Go is available for about 5500 Rupees.

The Motorola E5 Play Go has a 5.84 inches of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and has a screen resolution of about 480 x 960 pixels with a pixel density of 184 ppi. The colors on this device are clear and you find them to be natural and crisp. The sunlight viewing angles are good and turning up the brightness helps in reading the display easily even in bright sunlight.

The cameras on the Motorola devices are good and they take a very good picture. The Motorola E5 Play Go has a single camera setup in the rear, a 8 MP lens with an aperture size of f/2.0 and the front camera has a 5 MP lens. Pictures snapped from these cameras are decent to keep memories but not decent enough to share on online platforms. Don’t expect much from the pictures as looking them on the phone’s screen is not pleasant as the screen resolution is low.

The Motorola E5 Play Go is powered by Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipset with Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processors and Adreno 308 graphics chipset. The device runs on the Android v8.0 Oreo GO Edition. The device has 1 GB RAM with 16 GB of internal storage and 256 GB of expandable memory using a MicroSD card. The device runs smoothly with the GO enabled apps i.e lite version of the apps. Trying heavy apps to install and work is a task in itself and is better to be left for phones with better capabilities.

The Motorola E5 Play Go has  a 2100 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and there is no fast charging functionality which is to be expected on such a cheaply priced device. It comes with a normal charger in the box. The device is able to sustain for a day before running out of juice with average usage. It goes from 0-100 in about 2 hours.

The Motorola E5 Play Go comes in Black, Dark Lake and Flash Gray color.

The Ultimate Review

The Motorola E5 Play Go is a good device that has some of the best features and specifications for the entry level price range segment considering it has the initial test device for the android GO edition.

The cameras take decent images. The color reproduction is good but could be better. The pictures are okay but you must understand the limitations of the software.

The device has a 2100mAh battery that lasts you for almost a day which is good and the device takes somewhere around 2 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100.

The device is decent for the entry price range segment and there are better phones on offer in the market. Only buy it if you are a fan of Motorola devices or want to try out the Android GO edition software.
