Nokia has been a major player in the phone manufacturing circuit. Nokia has been able to make their bumpy ride a little smoother in order to make it to this point, where they can stand shoulder to shoulder with the latest Smartphone flagship devices. The Nokia devices that are being offered now are much better compared to the windows devices that were in the market previously. The new Nokia 8.1 carries the stock Android experience for the user and it has given a boost to the market image that Nokia has built for itself. The Nokia 8.1 is priced at Rupees 25900 and offers some great features to its consumers.
The Nokia 8.1 comes with a 6.18 inch IPS LCD capacitive multi-touch display with a notch design that houses the notch design. The notch in the display which is quite wide has the front camera, front flash, earpiece and the proximity sensor. The device is sturdy and the screen is protected by Corning gorilla glass. The display is able to provide a resolution of about 1080 x 2246 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The back panel on the device has the rear dual cameras and the fingerprint sensor. The design aesthetics of the device allow you to place it on a surface without worrying about it being unbalanced due to the camera bump.
The Nokia 8.1 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and has eight Kryo 360 CPU cores which are further categorized as two Kryo 360 gold cores clocking at about 2.2GHz and 6 Kryo 360 Silver cores running at around 1.7GHz. The graphics chipset Adreno 616 is capable of providing great gaming experience. The OS on the Nokia 8.1 is the Android One and runs the Android 9.1 Pie. The stock Android experience on the device is clean and smooth and you are guaranteed to get the latest security and major software updates as soon as they are made available. There is no delay when waiting for latest updates as other manufacturers overlay their own skin UI and then make it available for the users.
The Nokia 8.1 comes with a good set of cameras that you don’t find on other smartphones. The Carl-Zeiss optics have been a constant feature of Nokia devices and same is the case with the Nokia 8.1. With the Carl Zeiss optics, the 12MP rear cameras take stunning pictures with the optical image stabilization. The 13MP that supports the 12MP has a fixed focus depth sensor that allows you to capture those portrait shots with the blur backgrounds. The front camera is a 20MP with a f/2.0 aperture size is good for taking selfies and the edge detection on the bokeh mode brings out great looking pictures. The night light pictures suffer from some blurring due to the low light and when compared, one can see the pixels in the night pictures then the natural light ones of the day.
The battery on the Nokia 8.1 is 3500mAh and the device has a USB type C slot and there is the fast charging functionality available on the device. The device lasts for more than a day and a half on a single charge with moderate usage and last for a full day with heavy usage. The fast charging is helpful in charging the device from 0 to 100 in just 2 hours.
The Nokia 8.1 comes in Blue, Silver, Steel, Copper, Iron, Steel color variants.
