The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched in October 2018 in the mid range price bracket. This device was being sold for rupees 22300 when launched and now it is being marketed for rupees 18990. The special feature of this phone is having three rear cameras.
The Samsung A7 has a 6.0 inch Super AMOLED display which has good viewing angles even in sunlight. The colors on the device look amazing and you can change the color output according to your needs.
The Sensors and front camera are placed on the top of the device and the bezels at the sides are little more than the top and bottom bezels. Considering the price range of the device there is no USB type C and the phone has no fast charging available.
The cameras at the rear are the main usp of the device and you sure notice them once you take this phone in your hands. The rear cameras are 24 MP + 8MP + 5MP and take better pictures when the lighting is good but dulls down a bit during low light. The glass back gives this device a premium feel but it is a magnet for smudges and fingerprints. Talking of fingerprints, the fingerprint sensor is on the right with the volume buttons and can be tricky to reach for a left handed person.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 runs on a Exynos 7885 octa-core processor. It has six ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz, and two ARM Cortex A72 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. You can buy this device in two RAM variants of 4/6 GB with 64/128GB storage respectively.
The battery on the device is a non-removable 3300 mAh lithium-polymer battery. The phone supports bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, Glonass, and Beidou. The Samsung Galaxy A7 has dual nano SIM card support for 4G and VoLTE bands.
Android v8.0 Oreo comes pre installed on the device and the company plans to upgrade the device to Android v9.0 Pie when the update rolls in. You will find the customisations from samsung on the device and some other bloatware.

PROS –
6.0 inch display.
Good screen to body ratio that is, approximately 74.4%.
Good design.
Dedicated MicroSD slot.
Camera Pictures are gorgeous.
Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
CONS –
Low Light Camera performance is still not up to par
Bloatware does not help its cause of being a premium device.
Does not have a USB Type-C
The Samsung Galaxy A7 is mid range phone with a good camera setup and clicks decent snaps. The quality of the pictures is not consistent and it wavers with the amount of light available.
The battery life is good on the device and the 3300mAh lasts you a full day with around 20% remaining on moderate use.
The device doesn’t show any lag even with multiple apps open as the RAM management on the device is good. Heavy games like PUBG play smoothly without any frame drops or lags.
If you are a photography fanatic then you can choose this device, otherwise go for the Pocofone F1 in the same price range.
