Samsung has launched a the Samsung Galaxy J6+ in the mid price range segment in September 2018. The Samsung Galaxy J6+ was launched with some of the flagship features of the other successful Samsung devices. It has dual cameras and a side mounted Fingerprint sensor for the price of Rupees 12990.
The display on the Samsung Galaxy is a 6.0 inches IPS LCD “infinity” display that is decent under sunlight and the viewing angles are good. The display shows colors well without over saturating them and the blacks look good. The polycarbonate with a glass finish gives the device a premium finish.
The Samsung Galaxy J6+ has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset powering the device and Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processors with the Adreno 308 handling the graphics on the phone. The phone runs the Android v8.1 Oreo and has a 3/4GB RAM with a 32/64GB internal storage. You can use a microSD card to expand the storage up to 512GB.
The cameras on the device are a dual 13 MP with an aperture size of f/1.9 and a 5 MP with an aperture size of f/2.2. The front houses a 8MP camera with an aperture size of f/1.9. The cameras are nothing to sing praises about as they take average daylight pictures and the details captured are decent at best. There is some noise and grain in low light conditions and the pictures suffer from dark areas. The selfies are okay and can be posted on social media but there is nothing noteworthy about them. The video is shaky and this makes the video blurry and it feels average.
The battery life on the device is okay and it lasts for a full day on a single charge with average usage on its 3300mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. There is no option of a USB type C and the battery doesn't support fast charging. The battery takes anywhere around 2-3 hour to charge from 0 to 100.
The Samsung Galaxy J6+ is available in Black, Gray, Red and Blue color variants.

PROS –
6.5 inch display with a notch display.
Average screen to body ratio that is, approximately 73.6%.
274 ppi pixel density.
Bland Neat design
Camera Pictures are good.
The phone has a dual camera setup
3300mAh battery with fast charging.
CONS –
Underpowered processor for the price
The loudspeaker is placed at a position where it can get muffled by hands.
Low Light camera performance is average.
Although the device looks like a premium and high quality build, it actually lacks in performance and this shows in the underpowered performance of the processor at the price point it is being sold.
The camera pictures are average and there is noise and grain in the pictures in the night and in low lighting conditions.
The battery is decent and lasts a full day on a full charge on average usage. It takes about 2-3 hour to fully charge.
The price of the device is high compared to the quality it is offering and the other manufacturers in the market are providing better products at a cheaper price.
Buy this if you are looking for a budget range phone and are a Samsung fan otherwise pass this one.
