The device runs the Android v8.1 Oreo which is upgradeable to Android v9.0 Pie. Samsung has customized the UI to ONE UI and has overlayed it on the stock OS. It has seen many improvements and now you hardly find any problems in terms of usability.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a device which is perfect in most aspects. The RAM on the device is sufficient to run high end games and apps like PUBG and Fortnite easily. The internal storage is more than sufficient for the average user and even the high intensity users will find it satisfying. Even then one can expand the storage using a microSD card up to 512 GB with the dedicated slot.

The cameras take good pictures and the variable aperture size allows you to take good pictures even in low light conditions. There is some issue with the camera app misreading when to switch aperture size but most times it gets the settings right.

The device has fast charging support and you don’t need to worry about running out of juice anytime soon. The 4000mAh battery lasts for easily a day and a half.

The S Pen is a piece of hardware that gives the device its special flavor. The S Pen acts as a helper for those artistic types and also as a button for the camera.
