The new device from Vivo has been much anticipated by users all over the world. The devices from Vivo have always offered features that are at the top of with the industry standards set by Apple and Samsung. The Vivo devices offer some the best features and specifications according to the user needs and there has been a positive response from the people who don’t want to spend too much on a device and still want amazing devices in their pockets. The Vivo Y91 was launched for various prices for its different variants. The Vivo Y91 offers the 6GB/128GB (RAM/Storage) for Rupees 37999, the 8GB/128GB for Rupees 41999 and the 8GB/256GB for Rupees 45999.
The Vivo Y91 has a 6.41 inch screen when compared to Vivo 6 which has 6.2 inch screen. The Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen offers some great viewing angles and color reproduction is very natural and real. The company provides a screen protector pre applied on the device as they can not guarantee if the on screen fingerprint sensor will work perfectly with third party screen protectors. The screen protector works well but it hides the main design of the device on the edges which is a little element of annoyance. The notch design is good and you find the front camera as the only element in it.
The specifications of the RAM and internal storage are suitable according to the user needs and you can buy different variants according to what you prefer. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and has an Octa-core (4x2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4x1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) processor to make your experience snappy and fast in combination with the Adreno 630 graphics chipset. Vivo has always stuck to the stock android platform from the very first device and now most of the tweaks and enhancements make the device even better than most phones currently present in the market. Android 9.0 (Pie) powers the device with the OxygenOS 9.0.5 overlayed on top and it is one of the cleanest UI that is fully optimized for performance.
The Vivo Y91 cameras have a lot to offer and the camera software adds a lot of flair to your pictures in a good way. The 16 MP with an aperture size of f/1.7 and the 20 MP with an aperture size of f/1.7 takes some beautiful pictures in the daylight. The colors pop out on the screen and the subject looks natural the pictures don't lose their quality on a big screen. Distant objects show good detail and the clarity and sharpness of the edges is maintained. The night mode on the device takes a quick 8-10 snaps and combines them to give you good pictures in the night, but there is a 8-10 second processing time sometimes that make you wait for the image to be finalized. The shutter speed is amazing the pictures can be clicked within a moment. The front selfie camera is a 16 MP with an aperture size of f/2.0 and has good edge detection mode for portraits and selfies. The blurring effects give the image a different vibe with the background muted.
The Vivo Y91 has ditched the 3.5 mm jack for a bigger battery and the on-screen fingerprint sensor. It still has no expandable storage option but the internal storage is sufficient to not leave you feel the need for expansion.
The battery life of the Vivo Y91 is great and it easily lasts for a day and a half given its 3700mAh Li-Po battery. The device has a USB type - C port and supports fast charging but the transfer speeds it offers are at USB 2.0. The fast charging is not a wireless charging as Vivo feels that wireless charging is still slow as compared to wired charging. The fast charging allows the device to get around 60% charge in just 40 minutes which is great.
The Vivo Y91 comes in Starry Black, Ocean Blue, Red (Y91i only).

Vivo Y91 is a device that offers great features for half the prices of flagships from Apple and Samsung. The device has a premium build quality and has good performance with its OS.
The Cameras in the rear and the front take greats shots that display the color and the feeling of the image. The night mode is good for low lighting photography and the details are crisp and sharp. The bokeh mode offers a decent background blur to highlight the subject.
The battery life is decent and with the fast charging functionality you won’t run out of juice anytime soon.
Vivo Y91 is a great device and offers some amazing features and we would happily recommend it to you if you don’t want to go for other pricey flagships.
