Xiaomi has been offering us with devices that run the MIUI skin on the Android OS. the new Xiaomi Mi A2 runs on the Android One OS and its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi A1 had been a decent product as far as user opinions go. The new Xiaomi Mi A2 has been launched at a price range of 10000 to 30000 Rupees for its different RAM and internal storage variants.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a 5.99 inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The pixel density is about 403 ppi and the color balance settings are optimized to work well with the hardware. The display shows good details and the images look good even in sunlight.
The cameras on the Xiaomi Mi A2 are a 12 MP rear camera with an aperture size of f/1.8 and a 20 MP front camera with an aperture size of f/1.8. The cameras take decent pictures in daylight conditions and the color reproduction is a good and close to natural colors . The shadows and details that can be seen on the images are worth a big screen. The front camera takes a decent selfie and you can post them on your social media accounts. The bokeh mode takes good shots with edge detection and background blur. Night shots from the device are not that good as they suffer from low light and lack of detail.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Octa-core (4x2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4x1.8 GHz Kryo 260) processors and an Adreno 512 graphics chipset. The device runs the android v8.1 Oreo and has the Android One overlayed on top. The device has a 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage and runs most apps without any lag. The heavy apps run without any problem and you will hardly find any frame drops or lags.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a 3000mAh battery and is able to power the device for a full day on a single charge. The battery takes about 1 to 2 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100 with the fast charger so one does not need to worry about running out of juice.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 comes in Black, Gold, Blue, Red and Rose Gold color variants.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is a smartphone that is a mid level budget phone which has many great features as compared to its predecessor. The device is adequately priced and has good specifications and hardware for the price.
The cameras are decent and take good pictures in natural daylight conditions. The night photography suffers a bit due to low light conditions. The selfie shots are good and the portraits have nice color reproduction.
The 4/6GB RAM performs well and there is hardly any performance issues on the device as the optimization is properly handled by the company.
The lack of 3.5mm jack bothers a bit and the battery is a little less at 3000mAh, but the fast charging covers that drawback.
The device is a worthy buy considering the price and specifications with a decent battery life and the quality build.
