The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was highly anticipated by the consumers in the Indian market. The device had been teases for a while after its predecessor Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was launched. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in March 2018 and it was priced at Rupees 14999 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rupees 16999 for the 6GB RAM variant.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 5.99 inches of IPS LCD display and has good color reproduction and the screen looks good even in sunlight. The brightness of the screen allows more sharp color pixels and there is little loss of detail. The sensitivity of the screen is good and there is an option of three finger swipe for taking screenshots.
The cameras on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 are placed vertically in the same design as the iPhone at the top left and the dual cameras offer a 12 MP with an aperture size of f/2.2 and a 5 MP with an aperture size of f/2.0. The dual cameras take great pictures and the resolution is good to post on social media with a good amount of detail in them. The front selfie camera is a 20 MP with an aperture size of f/2.2 and you get great details in the selfies with the portrait mode. You also can use the bokeh mode to focus on the subject and blur the background details. The videos taken on the device offer a 1080p resolution and capture most of the details if you don’t move around the device too much.
The device runs on the android v7.1.2 (nougat) and can be upgraded to android v8.0 (Oreo). Xiaomi has overlayed the UI with its own MIUI v.10 and it is well optimized for the users to not miss the stock android experience, but in some cases the ads that are displayed in almost all apps can cause a bit of frustration when using this device. Otherwise the performance of the device is good with the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants while running heavy games and apps like PUBG and Asphalt or Video editing apps. The internal storage on the device is 64GB but you can expand it using a microSD card up to 128GB in the hybrid slot.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset and has a Octa-core 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 processors that work well with the Adreno 509 graphics chipset. The phone performance is good and the app performance is speedy.
The device provides value for money due to the high end specifications it offers most users want this from a device.
The battery on the phone is a 4000mAh lithium-polymer battery and easily lasts for a day and a half on average usage and lasts for a full day with heavy usage. The fast charging functionality helps when you need to charge your device urgently and are running low on juice.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in Black, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Lake Blue color variants.

The Ultimate Review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is a premium mid price range device that offers great specifications at the cost it is being offered to the consumers. The device has a good solid build quality and most of the high end features are available.
The internal storage and RAM on the device runs most high end applications without a hitch and there are very rare frame drops which can be ignored.
The cameras on the device take great picture in daylight conditions and the details are sharp and the color reproduction natural. Low light performance dips a little but that is the case with most devices, even then the pictures are good.
The battery on the device is a 4000mAh Li-Po battery and lasts easily for a day and a half on a single charge. The Fast charging ability helps if you are running low on juice and need to charge your phone with a time limit.
We would recommend to buy this device as it offers amazing value for money and has great performance and features that make high end devices look bad for being too pricey.
