2015 can be considered as the year when India stormed the 4G highway with a great number of smartphones featuring high-speed 4G bands. Many brands have been trying to provide the 4G experience with entry-level devices so as to attract the bigger target, which is not a surprising strategy. Smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G have been released, but only to be answered by the YU Yureka by Micromax.
Starting with the differences, the software has to be the first thing to talk about. The YU Yureka does not provide you with the purest stock android, it has CyanogenMod 11 as the skin, above the Android Kitkat. However, the customization is a positive point in the software differences since the Cyanogenmod is a bit tweakable. Combining with the name, the software signifies the uniqueness of the YU Yureka in the crammed market.
Clearly, Micromax has a double-target strategy with the Micromax-tag phones competing in the upper market and now the YU is being prevailed so as to provide great value-for-money deals and making companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus run for their money. Let us look is the YU Yureka capable enough to do so –
We will provide you a complete guide to help you in getting hand in hand with YU Yureka covering most of the detailed specifications –

‘Best when released’
The YU Yureka, in its time was one of the best smartphones you could have had under INR 10K. The device was targeted at providing a jaw-dropping value-for-money deal and believe me, it did the same to a great extent. It ticked all the boxes you can expect under INR 10K and perhaps even more.
The YU Yureka was probably the only device to feature the Qualcomm snapdragon 615 along with Octa-core Cortex A-53 at the price range, accompanied by the Adreno 405 GPU which together left the hardware unquestionable. Just like the OnePlus One, the Yu Yureka offers the tweakable Cyanogenmod experience, surprisingly at almost half the price of the OnePlus One which can be the major deciding difference. It has a good 13 MP high-resolution camera but is in a doubt for its low-light photography. A decent 2500 battery just adds a bit justification to its price. On top of all this (literally), the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 takes safety measures. But none of this is what we can declare as the key selling point. It is the 4G connectivity that the YU Yureka provides you under 10 K to ensure that the high-speed bands reach the people low on budget as well.
The YU Yureka leaves us with nothing significant to not recommend it, except that we have moved 2 years ahead of its release date. The market, in 2017 is crammed by smartphones providing premium flagship features like fingerprint sensor at a price just more than that of the YU Yureka. Chinese brands are dominating the lower-mid range market. Writing this in 2017, we would strictly deny recommending the YU Yureka. A slightly more budget and you can opt for devices like Moto G5, Xiaomi Note 4 etc.
The YU Yureka was one of the best at the time of its releases, but it is simply not in the game anymore. The only reason to buying it seems to be a Micromax nostalgic approach!
